Summit Yachts searched the world for the right balance between custom craftsmanship and efficient construction management.

Summit 40 Builder

In our continuing commitment to provide the right balance between custom craftsmanship and efficient construction management, Summit Yachts is moving production of the King 40 to Edgewater Boats in Edgewater, Florida, builders of our new Summit 35.

The move will reduce material transport costs and freight costs of finished boats to North America and Europe. More importantly it will bring the production of our two World Class IRC boats, the Summit 35 and the Summit 40 under one roof. And yes, with the move comes a series of performance enhancing modifications that will make the best IRC 40 footer even better. In recognition of the model upgrades, the new boat will be called the Summit 40.

A little about Edgewater Boats:

It all began in 1992 with a handful of experienced and dedicated craftsmen who shared a powerful dream of creating a company that would design and build the strongest, safest and most reliable boats on the water. Today that dream is a reality in EdgeWater Power Boats.
While EdgeWater continues to maintain small-company agility, responsiveness and drive, its twelve-year partnership with the North Marine Group, whose cutting-edge technologies are found aboard everything from America’s Cup racing yachts to the space shuttle, has given them the technological and financial resources necessary to create the highly advanced product its customers demand.
Today, EdgeWater employs more than 100 people, in a 94,000 square foot, state-of-the-art facility that produces a limited number of uniquely hand-crafted, semi-custom boats each year. Additionally, its commercial division develops and builds specialized high-performance EdgeWaters for military, government and law enforcement applications.
