Summit 45 Prelim Specifications

Summit Yachts announces it's latest model: the Summit 45 designed by Mark Mills. The deck and interior are designed for maximum efficiency, the fixed sprit and runnerless carbon rig is relatively easy to handle by an amateur crew, but will reward talented crews with incredible performance! Summit 40 American Girl

Summit Yachts continues its winning record!

Congratulations to Dan Galyon and the crew of the Summit 40 “American Girl” for their stunning victory in IRC 2, at the Long Island Sound IRC Championship this past weekend. Dan’s team scored a 1-1-2-3-3. In IRC 3, Dominic Porco’s Summit 35 “Alliance” sailed to a convincing third place finish.

On the west coast, Dan Woolery and his Summit 40 "Soozal" earned a first place overall win in the IRC West Coast Championship at the 2010 San Francisco Big Boat Series!

Karasu Wins the 60th Oshima Race

Karasu Summit 40

Summit 40, Karasu, won the 60th Oshima Race. The race is from Misaki - Oshima - Misaki. There was mild wind at the beginning of the race then very light wind until the island, but after rounding the island, follow-on boats tried to catch up to Karasu but she managed to finish the race at the 3rd position and won the race with the corrected time.

Karasu Summit 40 Wins the Saga miwan Big Boat Regatta

Karasu, the Japanese Summit 40, won the Saga miwan Big Boat Regatta in a testing mixture of conditions. She won the 3 day event with three firsts from 5 inshore races and a coastal race. Continuing her ongoing success in IRC racing in Japan against strong opposition reflects the strength of the Summit 40 and the growth of IRC racing worldwide.

Soozal Wins 2010 Stone Cup

Dan Woolery’s Summit 40 Soozal continued her run of strong IRC performances by winning the 2010 Stone Cup counting straight firsts. Run by the St Francis Yacht Club, the event provided classic cool but breezy San Francisco city front conditions.

Summit 40 Enhancements

Summit Yachts has announced the start of construction of the first of the new Summit 40’s. This new model will be an evolutionary advancement over the highly successful King 40. With a new keel, and rudder design by Mark Mills, we will incorporate lessons learned from over 100 successful races worldwide.

Mark Mills wins award

Mark Mills was honored with the Irish Independent / Afloat.ie Sailor of the Year Award: "Globally successful yacht designer Mark Mills of County Wicklow is the Afloat.ie/Irish Independent 'Sailor of the Year 2009' after a year of exceptional achievements which built on his original accolade as Sailor of the Month a year ago."
